The Law Offices of Almer J. Martins, LLC is a law firm that focuses on three practice areas of law: Elder Law, Landlord-Tenant matters, and Real Property Issues. Our Elder Law practice encompasses the writing of essential documents (i.e., Last Will & Testament, Power of Attorney, Medical Directive), probate and estate administration, Medicaid applications, and appeals. We handle matters for landlords and tenants alike concerning issues of possession of the property. Our firm also handles real estate transactions such as refinancing and the purchase/sale of residential properties.

Mr. Martins worked for Hudson County Adult Protective Services (APS) from 2013-2020 as a Case Manager. Mr. Martins investigated cases of potentially vulnerable adults who were the victims of caretaker/self-neglect, psychological/physical/sexual abuse and financial exploitation. He regularly worked with court-appointed limited and plenary guardians of adults deemed to be incapacitated. While at APS, he was exposed to our aging population's issues and learned the legal and social solutions to their problems.
