The Coronavirus pandemic continues to have devastating effects on both Landlords and Tenants alike. Sadly, it will continue to have negative effects for some time, and the impact will be long lasting. Despite the current backlog of Landlord Tenant cases, on July 14th, 2021, the Supreme Court of New Jersey issued a notice to the bar and public establishing new residential landlord tenant processes as of September 1st, 2021. This report includes amendments to the court rules in an effort to create greater equity for both landlords and tenants.
